Munguishi Bible College

Munguishi Bible College (MBC) is a bible college supported by the Diocese of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the aim of MBC to educate men and women for Christian ministry as pastors, evangelists, teachers and lay-workers, ultimately, to inspire students to devote their lives to Jesus Christ in discipleship and to equip students for mission. MBC welcomes the opportunity of assisting students from other denominations who are seeking preparation for a fruitful Christian life and ministry.

Location

MBC is located in northern Tanzania, 13km southeast of Arusha. At an altitude of about 1200m, it is situated in a farming area that provides the necessary environment for refreshing the mind and body.

Facilities

MBC may accommodate up to 60 students living on campus. It has an assembly hall, which holds up to 120 persons, a library containing about 1000 volumes of books in both English and Kiswahili, and a lecture hall with 5 classrooms. MBC also has facilities for animal farming, vegetable gardening, fish farming, carpentry and a mechanic’s workshop.

Courses

All courses are divided into two semesters.

1. Diploma in Church Ministry: English Course (This is a 3 year course)

Entrance requirement for prospective students:

· Must be at least 20 years old

· Have completed Form 4 or more

· Have some experience in church work

· Must be recommended by their local pastor

2. Diploma in Church Ministry: Kiswahili Course (This is a 1 year course, except for preliminary period)

Entrance requirement for prospective students:

· Must be at least 20 years old

· Have completed the 3 year course of Bible College

· Must be a pastor

· Must be recommended by their senior pastor

3. Certificate (Hati) in Theology: Kiswahili course (This is a 3 year course)

Entrance requirement for prospective students:

· Must be at least 20 years old

· Have completed the Evangelist Course

· Have some experience in church work

· Must be recommended by their local pastor

4. Evangelist course (This is a 1 year course)

Entrance requirement for prospective students:

· Must be at least 20 years old

· Have completed primary school

· Have some experience in church work

· Must be recommended by their local pastor

Donations are welcomed to support students and the facility in expanding studies. We invite volunteers from every country who are interested in working with us and have a desire to serve Christ by serving others. If you are unable to make the trip, you may sponsor individual students or contribute to a scholarship fund. Also, funds to support school ground maintenance and future additions are appreciated.
